Meta description
The summary a page declares for search results, usually shown under the title.
What it means for a site you run
The description does not change rankings directly, but it is the ad for the click: a clear, honest summary that matches the query earns the visit, and search engines may rewrite it if it does not. Around 150-160 characters is the practical length before truncation.
How Blogotter relates
Every generated article carries a meta description, and the publication verifier checks that the published page serves exactly the title and description that were approved.
