Search intent
What the searcher actually wants — information, a specific site, a comparison, or a purchase.
What it means for a site you run
A page that wins is one whose format matches the query's intent: a how-to for 'how to fix call jitter', a comparison for 'X vs Y', a product page for a brand name. Mismatched intent is the most common reason a well-written page still does not rank.
How Blogotter relates
Candidate keywords carry an intent classification from search data, and it is one of the signals the planner scores before a keyword can fill a slot.
